Hoof Skatepark Cleanup 2015

On Saturday May 16, 2015, some keen locals gathered to clean up Vanderhoof (Leonard Linton) skatepark, repair concrete and give the bowl a fresh coat of paint. Here are some photos from before, during and after. Special thanks to Steve Kotsopoulos for organizing and making it happen.

Like all recreational facilities, skateparks require maintenance. Toronto has a large skateboarding population, with limited facilities. The heavy use of these skateparks leads to inevitable damage. While some repairs are for aesthetics or expansion, many are immediately necessary to address safety issues, and the longevity of the skatepark.
